Alice Boiu Feb 11, 2013

Alice was born in Brasov, a touristic town, in the middle of Carpathian Mountains, in a family of famous Hungarian musicians. Her grandfather was a talented violinist, Kozak Istvan, winner of several national and international contests. Young Alice grew up in an environment of exceptional artistic and taste for quality music, witch accompanied her throughout childhood and adolescence, and thus has a great admiration and love from her parents. The models that she has seen and heard in the parental home did so to direct her attention to the queen of instruments: violin. She began studying violin at the age of 6. Her mother noticed what extraordinary musical skills little Alice has and enrolled her in a Music and Fine Arts School of Brasov. After remarkable results supporting recitals and concerts, she attended high school Music, School of Music in Brasov, and after high school graduation followed Transylvanian Music Academy, section: INSTRUMENTAL SOLOIST under the guidance of renowned conductor and teacher I. Ionescu Galati, Valeriu Rogacev, Dan Pepelea and Master of MUSIC in VIOLIN PERFORMANCE . All the guidance of different personalities of Romanian art, created artistic personality of the future musician.Wanting surprise her parents, she presented in secret to a contest for the post of artist musician Gh.Dima Brasov Philharmonic. She was admitted and integrated very well in the orchestra. In her beauty gathered so many generations of artists and is to be admired also as a woman and as an artist. At the same time continues her studies at the Music Academy and performs with the Philharmonic, where she still is employed. In the same time she has other solo projects and collaborates with many bands and artists, both at home and abroad: Germany, Hungary, Italy, Greece, Turkey, England. Alice had many tours with the Music Philharmonic Orchestra Gh.Dima in Germany- Frankfurt, Hamburg, Cologne, Rostock, Dortmund, Augsburg, Nüremberg, Ulm, Hannover, Duisburg, Italy- Rome, Florence, Sansepolcro, Hungary-Budapest, France- Paris. But something was missing! That kind of music she listen to her grandfather, that kind of music she wanted to promote in the memory of her ancestors! So she start a collaboration with musician Valentin Munteanu, which gave her the taste for a kind of violin music less practiced in Romania, coffee-concert. She starts to have concerts in various restaurants and clubs with obvious success! Following these experiences decides to put together a musical material covering the international repertoire of famous songs! During this time learning new ways of violin interpretation characterized by glissando and vibrato specific to jazz music. Start to collaborate also to a project with MT.Promotion in Alanya, a project that enjoys a great success! She has now a permanent concern for improvement in the violin interpretation and plans to release her second musical album, but this time with songs written for her. This material, hopefully, will show more of her personality and her possibilities of musical expression!Alice is an example of a young talent woman who succeeded in life! She does have ambition to go further and continue music series projects.
