Celine Bishop

Céline started playing the piano at the age of six. After devoting herself to classical music for years, she discovered the world of tango in 2009.

At that time she began dancing at "Tango de Soie" (Lyon, France) and began playing in several tango ensembles. She attended several tango music workshops and developed her skills with musicians such as Fernando Maguna, Julien Blondel and Ivo de Greef.

In September 2012 she started a Bachelor in Argentinian Tango at Codarts, Rotterdam.

She now plays in several ensembles (DuoDulceAmargo, Trio) and orchestras (Gran Orchestra Típica OTRA), and is frequently animating milongas in France with her Cuarteto Taco Alto.

Céline is also a music teacher. She has been teaching piano, music theory and musical initiation for children since 2003 in music schools, conservatories as wel as associative structures. After a two-year training in the Cefedem Rhône-Alpes (Lyon), she obtained the State Diploma of Music Theory teaching in 2011.
