Cenk Erdogan studied jazz composition at university with the acclaimed jazz musicians. He also worked on Turkish classical music and become a specialist on fretless guitar playing. His works on fretless guitar have been recognized by Berklee College of Music and he is invited to make workshops and give lectures on fretless guitar playing in 2004. The same year he also gave workshops and concerts at Queens College of Music.
His music blends jazz harmonization and traditional melodies through a very special technique. Influenced by the traditional Turkish instruments baglama and tanbur , his technique is diverted from other fretless guitar playing techniques.
He has scored several TV films, series and documentary films, as well as soundtracks of famous Turkish movies Fog and Night "Sis ve Gece" and Alone “Issız Adam". He is also involved in other musicians works such as Cengiz Onural’s Bir Nefes Hayat, Gevende’s Ev ,and Mircan Kaya’s solo albums.
His first album is released in December 2008 by Baykus Music.
