Daniel Serafin was born in Vienna, Austria and studied in Salzburg, Paris and Vienna were he graduated as Bachelor of Music. After that he made a Postgraduate degree in New York as Master of Arts and Cultural Management. He was a member of the Vienna Conservatory of Music and the Juilliard School, New York. Among his vocal coaches were Peter Seiffert, Wiccus Slabbert as well as the internationally acclaimed Bill Schuman.
Daniel Serafin has been praised as an artist of outstanding promise in opera, recital and orchestral concerts. The young Austrian baritone’s operatic repertoire spans from the classics to modern works, in his portrayals as Marcello in La Boheme, Sid in Albert Herring,  Silvio in Pagliacci, Dr. Falke in Die Fledermaus,  Papageno in Die Zauberflöte, the Composer in Viva la Mamma, the Black Cat/Clock  in L’enfant et les sortilèges as well as the Count of Almaviva in Le Nozze di Figaro.
Daniel Serafin has worked with such noteworthy directors including Academy Award Winner Maximilian Schell, Ferruccio Soleri, Volker Schlöndorff, Helmuth Lohner as well as the legendary Otto Schenk.
An accomplished recitalist, Daniel Serafin’s repertoire includes Schubert, Schumann, Brahms, Liszt, Strauss, Wolf, Duparc, Fauré, Korngold as well as Tosti. He worked with the “Marcello Giordani Foundation” at Vero Beach Opera, as well as in recitals at the Styria Classic Festival, Liechtenstein Arts Foundation, Simon Wiesenthal Foundation, the Johann Strauss Festival, as well as sponsored recitals in Istanbul, Rome, Paris, Berlin, Bangkok, Shanghai, London, Zurich and Los Angeles.
