Doron Giat

Born to a musical family, Doron - one of the leading drummers in Israel - was attracted to music in a very organic way. Influenced by many styles, Doron's playing is an eclectic blend of Fusion, Jazz, R&B, Latin, Funk, Rock and World music, together with his own unique color and sound. Doron is currently playing drums for Project RnL (also featuring Jordan Rudess from Dream Theater), and working as an independent drummer in sessions and shows. As an all-around drummer he also mastered Latin playing with Left Foot Clave technique. An honor graduate of the Musician's Institute (MI) from 1991, Doron lived and played in Los Angeles area for a few years, before moving to Tel Aviv in the mid-nineties. He is a highly achieved musician with a large experience in various types of musical settings. In 2000 he opened his own drums school in Tel Aviv. He established a successful teaching method, applied at his own Drums School by himself and his team of instructors. Doron hosted clinics and shows, with drummers like Dave Weckl, Antonio Sanchez, Ronald Bruner Jr., Horacio "El Negro" Hernandez, Efrain Toro, Chad Wackerman, Mark Guiliana, Jojo Mayer and Aaron Spears.
