Dusan Dimitrijevic was born in 1972 in Belgrade (Serbia).
He has been giving concerts since 1995.
In addition to performing, he is also a composer as well as a transcriber of Serbian folk music.
He was one of the music composers the for the film “Don't Leave Me With Strangers” by the Greek director Vassilis Bliumis (2006).
He appears either as a soloist, in a guitar duo or in a guitar trio.
He appears on festivals from 2001 (when he took part in the “GuitarArt” Festival ‐ one of the most important festivals of classical guitar in Europe) and performs mostly in the countries of Southeast Europe.
During 2002, together with guitarist and composer Uros Dojcinovic he recorded the CD “Guitar Compositions on Folk Themes from Serbia”.
He published two albums (“Janja” ‐ compositions based on traditional themes and “Dream” ‐ own
compositions), “Gutar scales” book and educational collection “170 compositions for guitar”.
As a guitar professor Dusan Dimitrijevic has achieved good results with his students. His students won
many prizes in regional and some international competitions in Serbia, Ukraine, Bulgaria and Romania.
Dimitrijevic finished postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade. He has a Magister's
degree of classical guitar (two years of Post‐Master’s degree).
Since 2014 he works as a Professor of classical guitar in Belgrade’s Department of Slobomir University of music, Bjeljina.
From 2004 to 2007 he has been an Associated Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade (University of music).
Since 1999 he works in the Kosta Manojlovic School of Music in Zemun (High school music education).
