Franco Maigue

Guitarist Franco Raymundo Moscardon Maigue is First prizewinner of the 2005 Competitions for Young Artists, top prizewinner of the 2002 and 2009 National Music Competitions for Young Artists, first prizewinner of the 2012 Philippine International Guitar Competition and third prizewinner of the 2013 Hong Kong International Guitar Competition.He was also featured as a soloist accompanied by several orchestras such as the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra, the Metro Manila Community Orchestra, and the Manila Symphonic Orchestra. Aside from being a captivating solo performer, he is an active chamber musician, having been a member of several groups including the UP Guitar Orchestra, Kithara Quartet, Abelardo Guitar Quartet and the UP Jazz Ensemble. He finished his Bachelor of Music degree at the University of the Philippines College of Music, Cum Laude and his masters degree at the Philippine Women's University School of Music. He is currently finishing his Doctoral studies at the same university.
