The Puerto Rican classical guitarist graduated from the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico, where he earned a M.M. under the tutelage of Master Iván Rijos, also took clases with Manuel Barrueco as artist in residence, and a B.M. under the tutelage of Master Leonardo Egúrbida. He has had the honor of studying and participating in master classes under prestigious artists such, as Leonardo Egúrbida, Iván Rijos, Dr. José A. López, Orlando Laureano, Eduardo Fernández, René Izquierdo, Elina Chekan and Manuel Barrueco, amongst others.

Rodríguez was the 1st prize winner of the National Classical Guitar Competition 2009 in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico and subsequently served as deputy director of the competition. He has performed in Puerto Rico, the United States, and Spain.

Gabriel Rodríguez has served on the faculty of Puerto Rico Baptist College where he conducted the choir and taught classical guitar, music theory, sight singing, introduction to conducting, and music appreciation.

Guitarrista puertorriqueño, egresado del Conservatorio de Música de Puerto Rico. M.M. bajo la tutela del Maestro Iván Rijos, también tomó clases con el Maestro Manuel Barrueco (artista residente); B.M. bajo la tutela del Maestro Leonardo Egúrbida. Ha tenido el honor de estudiar y participar en clases magistrales con reconocidos artistas como Leonardo Egúrbida, Iván Rijos, Dr. José A. López, Orlando Laureano, Eduardo Fernández, René Izquierdo, Elina Chekan y Manuel Barrueco, entre otros.

Como parte de su desempeño artístico se ha presentado en Puerto Rico, Estados Unidos y España. Obtuvo el primer premio en el Concurso Nacional de Guitarra Clásica 2009 en Mayagüez, Puerto Rico; posteriormente fue nombrado subdirector artístico del mismo.

Rodríguez ha formado parte de la facultad del Colegio Universitario Bautista de Puerto Rico, donde ha dirigido el coro e impartido clases de guitarra clásica, teoría de la música, solfeo, introducción a la dirección y apreciación musical.
