Biography
 
Natalya Grischenya was born in Minsk, Byelorussia. She took her fist steps in solo singing at school, where she was a soloist in the junior chorus of Belorussian radio in Minsk. 15 year old Natalya goes on her first concert tour to the US as a soloist for the Byelorussian chorus directed by Victor Maslennikov. She takes part in Christmas festival performance at the FOX theatre in Detroit. Later on as part of this chorus, she goes on tours to Canada, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Belgium, and Poland, where she sings a classical repertoire of soviet and foreign composers.   After graduating from high school, Natalya enters the vocal department of the Glinka Minsk Musical College. After graduating college, Natalya enters the vocal department of Byelorussian State Music Academy. She graduates the Academy with high honors. In 2001, Natalya Grischenya enters the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory for her postgraduate studies, specializing in academic vocals under the tutelage of the Honored People’s Artist of the Soviet Union and the soloist of Bolshoi Theatre, Professor Irina Maslennikova. The same year she is awarded first runner-up in the International Contest of Romance Singers in Moscow. In 2006, Natalya participates in the musical project “Byelorussia days in Austria” where with a pianist from the Moscow Conservatory she gives a solo concert at the Emperor Pallavichini Palace in Vienna. After finishing her postgraduate studies, Natalya is working as a soloist at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory  in the class of the Head of the Musical Art Department, Professor V.N.Chchava, singing a repertoire of Russian and foreign composers. In 2009, Natlaya is awarded the Grand Prix at the International Contest of Vocalists in Yalta (Ukraine).  In 2001, Natalya begins working as a vocal teacher in the International Slavic Institute in Moscow and at the same time she continues her concert activities in Russia and abroad.
 
Critique
 
The vocal art of Natalya Grischenya is impressive, especially her ability to manage sound in its originality and reverence.
Her voice – central full range soprano with full-tones top and lower notes and can perform the most difficult vocal tasks. 
Her voice is playful, refined, and elegant.
Her distinctive singing style follows the tradition of great vocal masters “to sing like speaking”.  
A beautiful cantilena is combined with expressive tones, delicately reflecting inner drama. 
Intonations of the singer’s vocal speech portray even lightest emotional nuances, they meaningfully reflect different personages of opera heroines, they bring lyricism of personal experiences into chamber music. Natalya Grischenya can sing well in Western-European style, Russian opera, and chamber music.  The vocal art of Natalya Grischenya is defined by a deep understanding of meaning and the capability to inhabit stage characters. The singer has a high professional potential, she is constantly working to improve herself.
