Grzegorz Niemczuk – concert pianist – winner of the 2013 International Carnegie Hall Concerto Debut Competition and the 40th National Frederick Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw in 2010 - graduated with the highest distinction from the Karol Szymanowski Music Academy in Katowice in the class of Jozef Stompel. At present he stays in artistic care of Jeffrey Swann with whom he has been studying since 2009.Grzegorz Niemczuk has already performed in many important places in Poland and abroad (the whole Europe, USA (New York – Steinway Hall, Mannes College), Australia (Bowral), Africa (Addis-Ababa).Apart from Warsaw in 2010, Grzegorz Niemczuk won 1st Prizes in international piano competitions in Zabrze (2003), Trieste (2007) and Waterloo (2008). He was also given top prizes on other competitions dedicated to Frederick Chopin: in Lodz (2004), Varna (2005 – 3rd Prize), Warsaw ( 2007 – 3rd Prize, 2008 – 5th Prize) , and Konin ( “Chopin of the Young” 2008 – I Prize).In July 2008 he was the Laureate of “Janet and William Schwartz Scholarship Award” in New York City and in September 2009 , he was a the Laureate of the 43rd Festival of Polish Piano Art in Slupsk.He has received the Scholarship of the Mayor of Tychy(1999,2000,2001,2002,2008) and was the holder of the scholarships of the President of the Council of Ministers(2003), the Minister of Culture and National Heritage (2003/2004, 2007/2008, 2009) and the Polish Children’s Fund (2003/2004). He developed his music skills at music courses where he worked with such artists as: Joseph Banovetz, Rudolf Bernatik, Peter Donohoe, Menahem Pressler, Philippe Entremont, Klaus Hellwig, Jeffrey Swann, Piotr Paleczny, Joaquin Achucarro, Mykola Suk, Yuan Sheng, Alexander Kobrin, Alberto Nose, Andrzej Jasiński, Aleksiej Orłowiecki, Jerome Rose, Adam Wodnicki, Arie Vardi, Krystian Zimerman.More important places were Grzegorz performed so far :POLAND· Wroclaw – Philharmonic Hall· Warsaw – National Philharmonic Hall· Walbrzych – Philharmonic Hall· Czestochowa – Philharmonic Hall· Warsaw – National Theater· Warsaw – Porczynscy Gallery· Warsaw – Royal Lazienki· Zelazowa Wola· Duszniki-Zdroj· Zakopane – “Atma” – House of K.
