A winner of the 2015 Classical Radio Vienna Eurosong, 2017 special prize Opera Competition Pienza, 2018 Theatre Prize winner Spoleto OperaCompetition, Puccini&Cupisti Prize for the best young voice at the Puccini Festival 2018 Ivana Čanović, opera singer from Montenegro is the ambassador of Italian culture in the world, promoting the classical music not only in her country, but also in China, Panama, Austria, England, Greece, Iran, France, Germany, Russia, Spain, Italy, Portugal. In July 2018 Ms. Čanović made her debut as Liù in Turandot in Puccini Opera Festival in Torre del Lago. This season Ms. Čanović will return to Teatro Lirico Cagliari as Contessa di Ceprano and Paggio in Rigoletto, conducted by Maestro Boncompagni.

Čanović made her debut in 2010 at Teatro Ghione in Rome singing the title role as Susanna in Segreto di Susanna. She also made her role debut in 2013 as Antiope in Talestri, the Queen of the Amazons in Vienna’s Kosmos Theatre.

Highlights of previous performances include Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni at the Opera Festival in Mougins, Fiordiligi in Cosí fan Tutte, Elettra in Idomeneo, Contessa in Le nozze di Figaro at the Montenegrin National Theatre in Podgorica, Mimì in La Bohème at the Conservatory Santa Cecilia in Rome.

On the recital stage Ms. Čanović sang with the pianist from Vienna State Opera, Kristin Okerlund in 2018 and 2017 in Vienna Barock Saal. She performed with one of the best violinists of the world Yury Revich in Semperdepot Vienna, Parlatino Panama City in 2016, Megaron Concert Hall Athens in 2017. In the same year she featured a private concert with Andrea Bocelli in Rome. In July 2018 Čanović was honoured to sing for the opening of Puccini Festival next to Martina Serafin, Andrea Bocceli. In October this year she sang arias and duettos at Verdi Theatre in Pisa next to Andrea Bocceli, conducted by Maestro Bernini.

Orchestral works include Schubert’s Mass in G Major with China National Symphony in Beijing, Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennele in Accademia Filarmonica Romana, and Vivaldi’s Gloria with World Youth Orchestra in Rome.

Ms. Čanović holds both Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees from the Santa Cecilia Conservatory, during this five years period she was awarded the Laziodisu Scholarship of the
Ministry of Culture and Education.
