Julia Zhu is born on 28/06/1973 in Chinese city Yangchow which has been a culture and entertainment center until end of Ming destiny.Born with enough talents,Julia Zhu won the first honor of singing at 4 years old in a regional competition for all kindergartens kids.Later in school era also won countless prices for her schools until university Era.In 1997 Julia Zhu stayed in China centrum music academy for one year and got the best guidance of a several top Chinese master educators in singing such as 周美玉, 刘淑芳...and at that time Julia was also a proffessional actresses in theatre and participated in a few TV series....
After finishing university education in China Julia Zhu went to Europe for further studying in non-music domains, and got married in 2001 in Belgium,and has completed a few concerts until 2003 in Europe with famous musicians such as Dutch tenor Marco Bakker and former NATO SECRETARY Willy Claes who is a part time pianist.
In 2003 because of pregnancy and giving childbirth and breastfeeding Julia Zhu stopped Music activity for a few years and was busy in other fields such as business and writing;in 2007 Julia Zhu has created a band named GENİUS which was aimed to create own style of spiritual-folk-jazz music and was already busy with recording;but was not able to be accomplished until the publishing of the album, due to two other numbers of the band were deeply addicted in drugs,this band was dismissed in 2007.
In 2014 Julia Zhu successfully resumed music career with the support of a numerous good musician friends in Europe and is busy with performing in Belgium,France and Germany and Turkey.Being Asian original ,Julia Zhu is willing to develop music career in Singapore,Taiwan,Hongkong,Malaysia and South Korea.
Julia Zhu is at the best in interpreting the opera arias from Handel,Mozart,Bellini,Strauss,Operetta arias from Strauss,Lehár;also very fluently interpreting the German lieder from composers of Romantic Era such as Schumann,Schubert,Mendelssohn,Brahms.Because Julia Zhu has been living in Europe for a long time so singing in all language becomes a big advantage compare to the other Asian singers who just learned singing from academical way.
Julia Zhu can perform together with all options with other musicians doesn't matter with orchestra,chamber orchestra,piano or even guitar,she also has experiences singing classic songs with rock or pop bands.And to give Bel Canto a new version she is keen to work with non-classical musicians to make classical singing more popular and loved by the young generations who seldom go to classic concerts.
Julia Zhu has been an theatrical actress in her 20's in China,is filled with stage performing experience in her youth age,which can easily adapt to the opera stage performance.
