Kandur

Kandur is the solo project of musician İlker Can Kandur, who is known by the guitarist and/or vocalist of bands like Noah's Ark -which won 2008 Miller Music Factory in İstanbul with their radio hit Ruh and became an instant internet hit with their viral video clip of the nasty song Azdım-  and The Resonants or Persona (which also won a few awards in Ukraine).In the summer of 2011, after all these band experiences, Kandur wanted to be on his own, write and record and play whatever he wants. Then he informed some friends and started rehearsing some covers and recording originals. In a month Kandur was in all of the venues of Kiev, playing mostly cover shows. It is great to see a band everywhere, whether it is a cafe, an irish pub, a turkish restaurant, a fashion party club or a live music bar and Kandur does a great job in all! There is a very radio friendly alternative rock vibe in the music of Kandur, no matter if they are covering Britney Spears or U2 and doing an original, that vibe holds "the audience - covers of hits of almost all genres - originals" triangle together. Nowadays Kandur is continuing to dominate the Kiev bar-pub-club-cafe scenes, and looking forward to reaching a new international audience with rocking tunes!
