Pianist soloist, chamber music player and accompanist of famous singers, Maciej Pikulski already appeared on the stage in almost 30 countries in 5 continents… He was awarded a piano, chamber music and vocal accompaniment diploma at the Paris Superior Conservatory of Music. Then he was admitted to the post graduate cycle and became prize-winner of the France Telecom Foundation. A disciple of Dominique Merlet, Maciej Pikulski continued his work as a soloist with Clive Britton, himself a former pupil of Claudio Arrau and has been invited to perform as soloist in Russia, India, Sri Lanka, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Poland, Belgium. In France he performed in Radio France Musique, Midem Festival in Cannes, Chopin Festival in Paris, Liszt Festival en Provence.

He also performed with French, Belgian, English, Romanian and Italian orchestras. Maciej Pikulski made 3 piano solo CD recordings: Rachmaninoff Concerto n°2 completed by works of Liszt and Chopin, the Liszt transcriptions of Schubert songs (Ed. Zig-Zag) and recently Rachmaninoff solo works. In December 2004 he was chosen by French Chopin Society to perform the piano part in the reconstruction of tha last Chopin’s concert in Paris. In 2006 he was invited to take part in the integral set of Mozart Sonatas for San Sebastian Festival (Spain). Also performer of chamber music, Maciej Pikulski made a tour in South America with the flutist Gaspard Hoyos, created a duet with the cellist Raphael Chretien with whom he recorded 2 CD’s: 3 Sonatas by Jean Huré and later 2 Sonatas by Guy Ropartz and the Sonata by Henri Duparc (Ed.Daphéneo) and played in chamber music concerts with some of the most important French Musicians. Meanwhile, he started a career as a vocal accompanist performing with such great voices as Felicity Lott, Renée Fleming, Maria Bayo, Patricia Petibon, Mireille Delunsch, Laurent Naouri, Udo Reinemann, Annick Massis, Edith Wiens, and since 1993 Maciej Pikulski has been the exclusive accompanist of the famous bass-baritone, José Van Dam performing in the world’s most prestigous theatres (La Scala in Milano, Carnegie Hall in New York, Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie in Bruxelles, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires, Théâtre des Champs Elysées in Paris….). They have made three CDs devoted to the works of Duparc, Brahms and Wolf and French Composers (Ed.Forlane).

Really interested in pedagogy Maciej Pikulski gave master-classes in China (Shanghai), Brazil (Sao Paulo), in Paris Superior Conservatory of Music, in Amsterdam Academy of Music, in Montpellier and in Strasbourg. He is also professor with tenure at the Superior Conservatory of Music of San Sebastian (Spain) and teaches every year at the Nancy Summer Academies. The press recognized his “poetic sensitivity” (Globe and Mail, Toronto), his “powerful technique” (New York Times) and called him “magnificiant musician” (Le Figaro) and “great pianist” (Corriere de la Serra)
