Mateja Zenzerovic was born in Pula (Croatia) in 1983. Her musical training began in 1989 at the famous “Okud Istra” musical school in Pula under Professor Damir Buzleta. In 1987 she changed to study under Professor Tatjana Lajic at “I. Matetic-Ronjgov” music school. From 2001 to 2005 she studied  the bajan accordion as well as music education under Professor Elsbeth Moser at Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover (HMTMH),  University of Music, Drama and Media in Hanover. In 2005 she finally began also in Hanover her artistic training. From 2007 she has been taking a soloist course under Professor Moser at HMTMH.      At hat time she obtained an Erasmus scholarship and was for a semester in the Basque city of San Sebastián in the well-known “Musikene” music school under Professor Iñaki Alberdi.
In May 2012 she concluded her studies with the Mitteldeutschen Chamber Orchestra under Christian Simonis. During her musical training she participated in numerous master courses among them under Peter Antonio Soave, Alexander Skljarow, Juriy Schischikin, James Crabb, Denis Modrusan, Slavko Magdic, Owen Murray, Stefan Hussong, Iñaki Alberdi, Matti Rantanen, and Claudio Jacomucci.
From 1993 to 2007 she was successful in many national and international competitions in solo, duo and ensemble categories among others in the international competitions of Camalo, Erbezzo and Castelfidardo (Italy); Pula and Rijeka (Croatia); Alcobaca (Portugal); Tijanjin (China);  Arrasate (Spain); Baden-Baden, Klingenthal and Hamburg (Germany).
With her music she manages to take her audience on a musical journey through impressive areas of sound and tones and show new dimensions.
With a sensitive and delicate technique she turns the musical works into a special tonal space, links large areas of sound surfaces to delicate and sensitive tonal patterns and creates a transparent structure which despite its metaphysical depths remains nevertheless comprehensible.
She elicits from her instrument unusually warm and pleasant tones and links them with a clear musical statement and what particularly impresses is her especially delicate, balanced and interpretive borderline between the intention of the composer and her own understanding of the music and the work. Last but not least this is the reason to cooperate with large number of composers like: Juliane Klein, Hans Zender, Senezana Nesic, Sarh Nemtsov, Georg Katzer, Adriana Hölszky, Moritz Eggert, Gyorgy Kurtag, Markus Stockhause…

She was invited as a guest to festivals like “Mozart Woche” (Mozart`s Week) in Salzburg, “Bruecken Festival” in Rostock or the “Tiroler Festspiele” where she played under Fabio Luisi, Hans Zender and Yannick Nezet-Seguin.
