Mikhail Yanenko was born in Serpukhov (Moscow Region), Russia. Early in his childhood, Mikhail began to take a great interest in Italian culture, music, and soccer. When he graduated a High School he decided to dedicate his life to music, particularly in opera.
In 2007, Mikhail Yanenko graduated from Gnessin Music College in Moscow, Russia where he was taught by Professor D. A. Barutnikov and earned his degree as the Artist of Choir and Ensemble. In 2007, he completed the traineeship in the Galina Veshnevskaya’s Opera Center under the instruction of Bardie Maisuradze. In 2012, he graduated from Gnessin Moscow State Academy of Music and graduated with a B. A. in Vocal Art, under the instruction of Professor N.N. Mayborody.
Mikhail launched his career in 2007 working with Tchaikovsky Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra as Nemorino in “L’elisir d’amore” by Gaetano Donizetti. His career continued as he played the role of Lensky in “Eugene Onegin” by P. I. Tchaikovsky and Rudolph in “La Boheme” by Giacomo Piccini in the Opera House at the Moscow Conservatory.
Since 2011, he has been working as the soloist at the Boris Pokrovsky Chamber Musical Theater in Moscow, Russia. During that time, Mikhail learned and worked on numerous musical roles; his repertoire includes: Marquis in “Zar and Zimmerman” by Albert Lortzing, Rinuccio in “Gianni Schicchi” by Giacomo Puccini, Tamino in “The Magic Flute” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Don Gomez in “Die drei Pintos” by Carl Maria von Weber, Pereslegin in “Violist Danilov” by A. Tchaikovsky, Otto in “The Diary of a Young Girl: book by Anne Frank” by Grigory Frid.
Mikhail toured with the theater in different countries throughout Europe, such as Italy, Moldova, Estonia, and Austria.
Roles in the repertoire:
• Duke in “Rigoletto” by Giuseppe Verdi,
• Vladimir I. in “Prince Igor” by A. Borodin,
• Mario Cavaradossi in “Tosca” by G. Puccini,
• Nemorino in “L’elisir d’amore” by G. Donizetti,
• Young Gipsy in “Aleko” by Sergei Rachmaninoff,
• Beppe in “Rita” by G. Donizetti,
• Alfred in “La Traviata” by G. Verdi.
Mikhail Yanenko collaborated with conductors, such as Gennady Rozhdestvensky, Alexander Petukhov, Viktor Eliseev, Vladimir Agronsky, Viktor Lutsenko, and Francesco Leddy.
Mikhail performed with various orchestras, such as Orchestra of the FSB (Central Frontier Ensemble FSS, RF), Neapolitan Serenade Orchestra, Orchestra of the MIA, Orchestra “Railways,” Orchestra of the Folk Instruments, Orchestra of Gnessin Russian Music Academy (RAM), and Orchestra of the Moscow Conservatory.
