Nassia Gofa

I was born in Athens,Greece. When I finished high school I started studying Geology in the University of Athens,specializing in Paleontology. Still,I always loved music and singing...After a few years of geology studies,my dream to become a singer was really strong,so I decided to go for it! I started doing various jobs in order to support my music studies. In 2000 I started studying in the Athenaeum Maria Callas Conservatory in Athens,where I took my degree in jazz singing. I attended workshops with musicians like Sheila Jordan,Debborah Davis etc... Since then I have been singing in Athens and all over Greece with many greek jazz musicians. I'm also the lead singer of the group Ηappy Dog Project.The group performs its own music with elements from balcan/greek traditional music,funky beats,jazz impro and also covers old folk greek songs in a very twisted way!! The group's third CD "Dog To The Bone" where I participate in three tracks,was released in 2012 by Ropeadope Records.
