Nuci Nebieridze is a New York-based artist from Georgia, who has a reasonable number of performances with her project in recent years throughout New York, at venues such as “Birdland Jazz Club” “BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center“, “Club Bonafide”, and “Rockwood Music Hall”, and in Europe.
Nuci Nebieridze Sextet project played her original compositions and arrangements. Jazz compositions and arrangements as a combination of structure and improvisation with an orchestral movement flavored with Eastern European harmonies – was the album “Dreamension”, including songs about love, mysteries, hesitation, power, and shades of emotions.
As she comes from fine art, the vision of this project was to produce stories as if the journey in the impressionist painting, the manifestation of struggle culminating in rich sounds as the reflection of her experiences through contemporary jazz music.
After thirteen years of working and performing as a jazz singer, and exploring composing/songwriting techniques, Nuci switched her focus on production and music technology, which unfolded a huge pallet of creative possibilities as she wrote/recorded a lot of songs during this year and has released the EP Album “REBORN” and a Single “BIMINI”, fully produced by herself.
This transformation from jazz to the world of technology unlocked the inexhaustible source of magic ideas that is inception and her “reborn” in the art of experimental/electronic music and commercial production.
Prior to moving to New York, Nuci has appeared internationally, performing in Georgia, Germany, Scotland, England, and the United States; has been featured at the National Georgian Music Festival “Art Gene”, “Black Sea Jazz Festival”, “Tbilisi Open Air”, “Tbilisi Conservatoire Hall” and “Tbilisi Event Hall”, also was permanently making records at The Tbilisi State Conservatoire Music Technology Studio.
She has participated in TV shows/competitions in Georgia - “The Voice”, “X Factor” where she caught the attention of the judges and the Georgian public and was considered as a unique vocalist with a quite different, individual manner and expression.
Nuci grew up in a family of artists. Surrounded by the smell of oil paint and canvases on the walls, she was influenced by her parents’ fine art and colors. She finished eight-year classical piano school; graduated from the Academy Of Arts with a bachelor’s degree in film/painting as well as from Tbilisi State Conservatoire majoring in jazz/vocal, and a bachelor from the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York.
