Russian pianist Olga Georgievskaya was born in Kiev, where she began to study music and already at the age of 14 became the winner of the Young Pianists Bach Piano Competition.

She continued her musical education in Moscow where she graduated from the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory cum laude, followed by postgraduate studies at the same institution. Olga Georgievskaya is top-prize winner in many international piano competitions, including 5th International Piano Competition Isole Boromee (Italy, 1st prize), 4th International Piano Competition Francesco Forgione (Italy, 1st prize), 17th International Piano Competition Città di Valentino (Italy, 3rd prize), the 7th International Piano Competition Grand Konzerteum (Greece, Diploma). She has been awarded with Hartt Talent Scholarship and with Raymond Hanson Piano Scholarship by the University of Hartford (Connecticut, USA). In piano duo with her sister Liudmila Georgievskaya she has also been awarded in several international music competitions.

Olga Georgievskaya performs regularly in recitals and as soloist with orchestra in Russia and abroad. Olga Georgievskaya’s guest performances have taken place in many important cultural centers in Russia such as cities of Krasnoyarsk, Barnaul, Tomsk, Arkhangelsk, Murmansk, Ulyanovsk, Polyarny, Severomorsk, Maykop, Kandalaksha, Belgorod, Golitsino, Novgorod, Pskov, and others. Outside Russia, she has played in several concert seasons in Italy (Milan, Forio d’Ischia, Cesuna, Lucera, Roana), in Finland (Lieksa), in Uzbekistan (Navoi, Toshkent), and in USA (Dallas), among others.

Olga Georgievskaya has been a featured soloist with many orchestras, including Murmansk Philharmonic Orchestra, Pskov Symphony Orchestra, Belgorod Symphony Orchestra, State Symphony Orchestra of Adygei Republic, National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan, Chamber Orchestra Turkistan, Symphony Orchestra of Arkhangelsk Music College and others.

She frequently appears in different concert halls in Moscow. As a permanent participant of many piano festivals and music projects, she performed for series of concerts All Piano Sonatas by Franz Schubert of the Russian Schubert Society, Festival of music by Nikolaj Medtner, Festival of music by F. Liszt, Musical Evenings of the Moscow State Lomonosov University, Festival of Piano Transcription “History and Modern Times”, and others.

Olga Georgievskaya’s live performances have been broadcasted in Russia on the federal radio channel Orpheus and on the Television of Uzbekistan, and she gave interviews for Radio Uzbekistan and for Murmansk Television (Russia).

Olga Georgievskaya combines her intense concert career with a creative work and music research in the allied fields as well as with her teaching activities. At the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, she earned her Ph.D. for the research on performing and theoretical analysis of polyphony in music by Sergey Rachmaninoff. Dr. Georgievskaya is a piano professor and assistant chief of the sub department at the Moscow City Teachers’ Training University, Department of Music. She gives courses of lectures and piano master classes in music schools in Russia, Uzbekistan, and Finland.

Olga Georgievskaya is an author of a number of concert piano transcriptions which have been repeatedly performed in Russia, Italy, Finland, Uzbekistan, and USA by pianists from many countries. For having her transcriptions recently performed at the 15th Annual Russian Festival of Music, Dance and Art in Dallas (Texas, USA), Olga Georgievskaya has been awarded a Certificate of Russian American Centre “in recognition of outstanding contribution to the promotion of Russian culture”.

Among recent Olga Georgievskaya’s piano projects stands her performance of the 32 piano sonatas by L. van Beethoven in a series of seven recitals. Her CD with Odradek Records of "Chaconnes & Transcriptions" is soon to be released.
