Pedro Ribeiro Rodrigues

Pedro Ribeiro Rodrigues (born in 1984, Mira De Aire, Portugal) began to play the classical guitar and clarinet at the age of ten. In his native town he graduated from a secondary music school under Dejan Ivanović. He won 1st Prize in the São João da Madeira Guitar Competition in 2003. That same year he began to study with Darko Petrinjak at the Zagreb Academy of Music, where he graduated from in 2007. In July 2010 he completed his postgraduate studies with Darko Petrinjak. While a student, he attended master courses by prestigious guitarists and pedagogues: Zoran Dukić, Carlo Marchione, Pablo Marquez and Costas Cotsiolis. He has performed in Croatia, Luxembourg, Scotland, Holland, Kosovo, Slovenia and Portugal. On his first album released by the Portuguese label Numerica, Pedro Ribeiro Rodrigues performs his own guitar transcriptions of 9 sonatas by the Portuguese composer Carlos Seixas.
